A client came to us with a feeling he couldn’t ignore. A design not to boisterous, but a subtle 'Richness'
The problem sat overhead. A beige, flat. Lifeless. Visually disconnected upper cabin. The kind of detail most people live with simply because they’ve never been shown better.
Once you see it, it cheapens the entire cabin.
That was removed.
In its place, we introduced charcoal Alcantara sourced from Italy — a material long associated with prestige and the world’s most considered interiors.
A continuous 2.5-metre stretch across the ceiling. All 8 pillars. Wrapped without interruption.
The result is poised elegance.
A shade chosen to reveal every subtle wave and texture in daylight, allowing the material to come alive as light moves across it. Rich — as the client described it. The kind of surface your eyes linger on, quietly inviting touch.
It’s a material you can lose yourself in. A commendable choice both by the design team and the customer.
At night, the transformation deepens.
Paired with Rolls-Royce-inspired ambient lighting, the cabin takes on a different presence. With a single flick, hundreds of fine points of light appear - dim, controlled, deliberate - gently illuminating the ceiling above.
As they glow, the texture of the Alcantara re-emerges beneath them. Depth. Movement. Calm.
What remains is a design that feels complete.
